Meal times   Our in-house Chef’s and kitchen staff will cater for all dietary requirements, providing a full menu choice for breakfast, lunch and tea.  Residents can enjoy a meal together with relatives and friends if they so wish.  Meals can be provided either in the dining room or in the residents own room if preferred.  Throughout the day and night, tea, biscuits, cakes and healthy snacks are offered and available.   

Laundry
  We have dedicated staff to take care of all laundry in-house.  We have state of the art industrial equipment.  Great care is taken by all staff to ensure that all clothing and linen is maintained to the highest of standards.

Activities
  We cater for all interests.  We have Activities Co-ordinators who encourage residents to partake in group activities, such as exercise, bingo, quizzes and listening to music.  Our Activities Co-ordinators also spend time one-to-one with residents concentrating on Person Centred interests for example looking at photos, discussing personal interest such as the royal family, arts & crafts or simply just reading to the resident.  We also have regular visits from outside entertainers such as a pianist and singer. 

Religion   We cater and respect all beliefs.  We take into account personal wishes and can arrange for priests or ministers of religion to attend our residents.   We do have a monthly communion from the local Anglican Church.  We actively promote the celebration of all religious special days from all cultural backgrounds.
 

 

Multi-Agency Services   We have a robust relationship with the local surgery; we receive routine visits from the local GP’s.  We have medication delivered from the local pharmacy when required.   We can organise visits from the Dentist, Physiotherapists and Opticians. 

Pampering    
An independent professional hairdresser attends our onsite hair studio offering a weekly service for all residents.  It could be that a weekly shampoo and set is required or a short back and sides when necessary, which enhances resident’s self-esteem.  Staff will often give a manicure and gentle massage to resident’s hands to prmote relaxation.   We can provide toiletries to residents, which can be purchased when required.    A Chiropodist visits every 6 weeks and there is a charge for this professional service.

Outpatient Appointments   Should a resident be required to attend an out-patients appointment at the hospital, transport will be organised and a qualified member of staff who is familiar to the resident will accompany.
